Default What Mileage to Get Timing Belt Changed?

I have a 1.9 CDTi SRi [150] estate and the current mileage is approx 59800, can you tell me what mileage I need to start thinking of getting the timing belt changed?
    Thanks
    Mike

Vauxhall say 100K but best to do it earlier, I did it at 80k when car was 4years old, remember age is as important as mileage.

i would change it now the waterpumps could seize around this mileage taking the belt with it

i would put it on the urgent list now

Very unlikely, you should be able to hear it or see the signs of coolant loss
The main issue is those owners that pay no attention (and never inspect the engine between services)
Providing it is inspected at each service, there should be no issue
if it fails before 100K miles then VX would be liable

I would be more concerned about those engines with poly rollers, where the cambelt intveral was reduced from 80K miles to 40K miles

100k or 10 years, but as other have said but 80k is more realistic I would also change the water pump with a VX one and not a cheap pattern part.

All the broken belts threads on here I have ever read have been down purely to the water pump seizing without prior warning. Good luck with trying to get VX to pay for a repair like that out of warranty, full service history or not.

It takes time, but can be done
One of our company cars sat at the dealership for nearly five months whilst we argued over it
Eventually VX agreed to pay 100%, plus all other costs
Personally, I think the dealership got fed up of the car taking up space and told them to do something

I would go for a similar interval of about 80K miles, so next at 160K miles

On my previous Vectra B the interval was 80K miles, but as it reached that interval there was an advisory to reduce to 40K miles
As a result, the next after that was 120K miles
Sadly the water pump failed at 90K miles, but the claim included a new cambelt

On my current Vectra C the interval is 100K miles
The warranty policy paid for this at 87K miles (as the next service would be about 115K miles)
I plan for the next to be carried out at between 160K and 170K miles, at current rate that will be the next service
