Drop links more than likely
droplinks and anti roll bushes
how would i be able to know if they need changing? would they be broken or damaged at all?
You prob will not see a great deal wrong with them until you get them out, at which point you will see how sloppy they are. You can pretty much guarantee they will be knackered, it's such a common problem especially if you're lowered too. It's an easy fix, front wheels off, bolted top and bottom, jack up hubs to release them. The bushes are a bit more of a work up cos you need to lower the sub frame a little but I've never had to do them.
I have changed the drop link on my drivers side front wheel and went for a drive but the clunking is still there when i go over bumps and pot holes, what could the next thing be thats causing it?
Did you test passenger side for play?
You don't need to drop the sub-frame to change the front ARB bushes. They are quite cheap to buy and easy to do if your handy with a spanner. There's a how 2 on the forum. I'll post up a link for you in a mo.
There you go fella.
