    Default inlet change f**k up!!!!!!!!!!

Right changed my inlet manifold on friday went to start it and it just made a crunching noise so tried again then I realised I left the fuel pump locking pins in! So took em out then tried to start it agaib and it was tuening over fine just not firing. So left it where it was over night. Went back in the morning with a guy from local garage took all apart again and the crank shaft has slipped. So towed it back to the garage to get it all sorted hopefully they need to order the special timing tool which is annoying. Wont be doing that again lol woops

It turns over nice and makes the right noises so thinking its fine. Even with all this still saved money lol

Bottom line is m8 you tried a job (which isn't the easiest either) that most would shy away from - so certainly don't put yourself down. You made a mistake but you have learned not to make it again so if there's a need to carry out the same job - you'll know what not to do.

As critch says - Could have happened to anyone.. Experience says always turn the engine by hand when you have done anything relating to the belt - but honestly, dont beat yourself up over it.. Fingers x'd all will be fine.

A new GM timing belt should be all you need as that will have timing marks on it so you dont actually need the tool.. Also - if you have jumped a few teath, replace the belt anyway. The last thing you want is a weak belt on there....
