Default do Rottweilers make good family pets

I would really love to get another dog. had our springer put to sleep couple of years ago. Always had dogs growing up from labs golden retrievers and couple of westies, I'd like another Labrador but I'm also toying with the idea of a Rottweiler, I've met loads In people's houses in work and always loved them. but having never owned one before. As we've got two kids a 3 year old and a one year old other half wants a small dog (like as small as she can find) I on the other hand would at her get a proper dog so anyone any advice on owning these dogs please. Thanks

Brilliant dogs but clumsy, excellent temperament if brought up right too... My mates dads got mine now since having our little girl, but we kept him right up until our lad turned 3 and daughter was born. Was more a lack of exercising him and space in small house why we let him go, but he's only on road and we see him quite often... Would have him back tomo but we need to move first

Always had rotties , I am sure those that have met mine will say what a great dog they are. They are great with kids and very careful for big dogs , you will be shocked how cautious they are around small kids and even small dogs , they know their size ( well most of the time) and I wouldnt have anything else. Show you misses the thread below she will love it

No dog is born viscous, just these scally wags training them to kill things and to snarl at everyone. Such a shame, the dog's reputation is destroyed through no fault of their own!

As said, there's irrational fears that these are devil dogs as big... Only dog I've ever been weary of what's my mates tiny jack Russell cross, used to clamp on for fun. Only dog I've ever felt like punching in its stupid little face lol
