    Default Dealer stamp

My car is due for its 7th service on the 25th February and has a perfect main dealer service history.

    Should I

    A) Take it to the dealers and maintain it regardless of cost
    B) Take it to a Vauxhall senior technician who has set up on his own and has worked on my car at the dealership.
    C) Have the service carried out the dealer and get the book stamped. Any non service jobs carried out by B

Along with your Masterfit Service Card to get 25% discount, and at the moment there is also a £40 off voucher to be had.

I have been a service club member for just over 2 years. Is the £40 just for new members only?

Personally it depends on the mileage and your opinion towards servicing

Up to 60K miles it is essential and can retain at least 25% of the vehicle value
Up to 80k miles it can retain at least 10% of the vehicle value
Once a car reaches 100K miles then the service record simply advises that it has been followed, it has no value and does not enhance the car value

The main problem I have is that independents are charging more to service the 3.0 V6 CDTi, so it is actually cheaper for me to use a dealership
My local quoted £285 for the major service, compared to £180 at the dealership
