head lights

hi all putting hids in my vectra sri could someone tell me when you take the bumper and head lights off will the lights want reseting when they get put back thanks.

everything will work as normal, the lights will be the same height just as before. just think of it as if your just changing the bulbs. hth.

No, but it's good practice to take a before and after measurement.

Park facing a wall, garage door, etc and note where the dip beam is. Change the bulbs for HIDs, and then check the lights are at the same height as before.

Its a plug and play, the height adjustment is done manually, if u have afl, its stored by memory. U're fine mate no need for measurements etc etc. just dont move the top mount bracket slider bit. It's there to keep it smooth and flush to bumper/bonnet.

Be sure to secure the ballasts in good position. Plug it all in before placing ballast in place as u might find it too short if u fit before plugging it in.

Take bumper off. Place ballast, see how it looks then you take it from there.

If given a choice, just make sure you fit a kit with metal based bulbs, rather than the thicker plastic based ones. That way the new bulbs are a like for like swap, and lock in correctly like your originals. Adjustments aren't likely to be necessary unless you go twiddling screws or adjusters that have nothing to do with the removal of the headlamp fella
