i got my first moto x bike in 1981 when i was 14 and raced it on a sunday being a member of the local A.M.C.A,it was a air cooled yz 125 i was in the juniors grp 1 then progressed to a suzuki rm 125 then a rm 250 w/c and the big beastie a maico 490 alpha then a bad road bike accident put a stop to the racing yrs later and then i did marshaling for the A.M.C.A BUT I HAVE SOME REALLY MEMORYS OF THE 125,Sjust look out for a good one possibly one that has been raced and well maintained rather than one that has been abused on the fields, good luck and enjoy
just to add the 125"s these days are mega light and mega fast and are easy to handle with a bit of practice,, you should be able to get something good for your money.. ktm"s are a cracking little bike but still go for strong money..a nice late model cr 125 or yz125 are as good as any ,,,HTH
Ye heers mate was looking for a big wheeled cr125 or yz to be honest
depends on your size/weight mate , you would soon get bored with the 125 as you need to keep ringing its neck to get something out it .
I have a cr250 and it pulls like a train right from the off , all the power is there right when you need it no need to wait for power band etc.
mine might be for sale but not for a couple of months selling everything bike , some spares , 2 bike trailer and anything else I have gathered up over the years .
getting too old for it lol .
but like I say try a 125 and 250 :-)
Well wont be for a couple of months mate so might be interested and ye was thinking a 250 but the misses would kill me hahaha
ive always had trails bikes and the and the best i ever had was the crm250 especially mk3 are amazing i had a prospec one and still to this day regret selling it to buy a road bike the power and torque was unreal and reliable too
dont tell her they look the same size
Hahaha i have just told her it will be a big bike and she hasnt said much more hahaha
