Question Windscreens - Heat absorbing or heat reflecting?

What type of windscreens are typically fitted to UK cars, i note two types so far. Out of the two i have found so far which type do we get in the UK, the heat absorbing or the heat reflecting type?

    Just curious...

At a pure guess I'd say heat adsorbing due to the fact that the climate we live in. Is generally colder than it is warm.

so it would be expected to absorb heat. To try and reduce things like slush freezing on screen etc.

as a day it's a pure guess I just assumed glass was glass lol

and if you wanted to keep sun out you tinted it lol

See I always thought the purple ones most noticeable on renaults were heat reflective hence there mainly fitted to the MPV's so the windscreen doesn't act like a greenhouse in the two summer days we get (If its a leap year and we've had snow the day before in May)

Heat absorbing - it melts the glue on velcro pads on a hot day LOL

Plain ones are heat absorbing (normally fitted to uk cars) and the purple ones are heat reflective. Tbh I can't say I noticed a difference when I fitted my one....apart from the fact it looks cool
