Hi* Have been a lurker for the past few months since buying a 56 plate Signum 1.9 CDTI. I am looking for a little bit of advice. Recently go stuck in heavy traffic which caused the clutch to start to dissapear in to the floor. Have bled the clutch a couple of time which solves it for a day or so. I don't ever lose the clutch completely but want to solve it. Have also put a second hand Master cylinder on this does not seem to have altered anything. Do not seem to be losing clutch fluid. What are the odds of two knackered master cylinders? I am now considering doing the clutch, slave cylinder and DMF myself. Has anyone done this got any advice? Do I need to renew the bolts on the DMF? How do you tell if the DMF is knackered when you split the gearbox?
