Symbol on the Dash

Hi,

Can someone solve my problem. Each time i turn my key in the ignition INSP appears for a short time. It appears above the mileometer count. Question is what does it mean? I've had the service symbl before (oil can and spanner) but not this one. Help cheers.

Found this in the manual,

Vehicles with a fixed oil change and service interval, InSP appears in the trip odometer when the ignition is switched on.

Have the service work required carried out within 1 week or 300miles after the light has appeared.

Had it serviced & mot'd over a month ago. Should'nt vauxhall of sorted it or is it a quick fix i can do?

Press the trip reset in and hold it,turn the ignition on and after about 10 secs it should reset itself.....

press the button in, press the brake pedal down, then turn thr ignition to posn 2.. hold everything down till the display changes,,then the service light is reset..

Dont touch it, take it back to the Vx garage and ask why after a mth the car says it needs a service, it's nothing to worry about as said above, but it makes the garage look slack to you and they will know it, and also you might get something in return, like a fresh oil change for nowt.

It's probably just got out of synch with the service intervals. Mine did the same thing when I bought it.

The INSP is displayed at 20k miles or 12 months, I bought mine a couple of weeks before it was a year old. They serviced it when I bought it but of course the timer for the service light is still running ! so INSP was displayed a month or so after I bought it. I ignored it until the next service was due, then it was reset and it came on this year at 12 months since the last service.

It's just had an early service before light came on, was with mine anyway
