How do i remove the fuse for the CD70, think i bricked it, well i know i did, want to disconnect it along with battery over night to try and reset it.

The fuse is in the back of the unit mate......Did you try to update with a copied disc by any chance?

If he did then removing the fuse won't help... what he needs is an authentic firmware update disc from Vx... can't remember the cost but was less than a tenner.Originally Posted by westonprawn

If he did then hes not aloneLol, Mine stalled half way through I had to stip and remove the disc 5 or 6 times until It burnt at correct speed as it wont eject either!

I did indeed gentlemen!! My map disk worked fine so thought why not? BIG mistake obviously!! Am calling in to dealer tomorrow, no point removing fuse then? I tried resetting eeprom but the audio button wont work..
yeah my disk got stuck too! eventually got it out, put original disc (05 version) in and it did the same thing!!

Don't worry mate I did exactly the same thing... I tried loads of stuff but in the end I bought the disc off Vx... put it in and the unit did the rest... be warned it takes a while to update... I think mine sat there for nearly 15mins seemingly doing nothing but eventually it completed and rebooted and has worked perfectly since...
Fingers crossedjust when i was getting into the swing of trying to fix little things with the car, i might leave the rest of my "projects" to the pros!!
is it ok to leave the screen on all night or should i hook the battery off?
Just so everyone knows, authentic disc from Vauxhall sorted it, very glad to have it back
