    Default diesel leak - any advice

    I've got a 2.2dti signum,
    pulled up yesterday and got a slight smell of diesel
    so opened the bonnet took off the plastic cover and had a look,
    found roughly where it was coming from, started it up and it must be a tiny hole making a very fine mist, its one on of the metal pipes though

    anyone know how to replace the pipe, cant really see where it starts, anyone got any ideas?

    It starts at the fuel pump. Never thoughts these could "split"

    Probably more due to corrosion than splitting

    anyone got any idea how hard its going to be to change?

    easy job, remove the inlet and egr valve first to gain some access, space is still quite tight, so you'll need a stubby spanner as well as a normal 17mm. they only come in sets of two, so if it can't be soldered, then its down to vauxhall, I managed to solder mine with some silver solider,
    they are under a little tension, so when you refitt do the pump end first,

    as olid says pretty easy just a bit fiddley,remove support clamp take off injector end then pump connector,fit pump end finger tight untill you get injector coupled then tighten both ends,don't forget to refit clamp or vibration will fracture pipe.
