    Default Reset Trip Computer

    i have a 54 plate vectra 1.9cdti

    does anyone know how to reset the trip computer ie mpg and average speed etc

    Use the left wheel on the steering wheel to scroll to average mpg then when there press the wheel in and hold it until it resets, hope that makes sense lol

    You can also use th up down left right button on the stereo, turn the radio off then scroll through holding down right to reset .

    Unfortunately you can't read the F M if you didn't get one with the car and the online one is for the later facelift/full can-bus car!

    So one of the suggestions of using the left scroll wheel on the steering wheel won't work either then

    Surely it can't be too difficult to navigate the menus until you come across the reset options?

    Hi Dave,

    The pre-facelift cars seem to be different, and they don't have scroll wheels

    On my '53 plate I've ever found a sort of 'global reset' on the BC menu which clears all the trip/mpg etc info.

    I wish I could reset each value but (probably me being a bit thick) I can't find a way.
    If anyone knows of a way, remember, sharing is good for you?
