Display fuse should be fuse 26 at the end of the dash panel (passenger end)
If other lighting is affected, then try fuse 12 (power overload protection fuse for BCM)
Full list of fuses for instruments, radio, BCM etc are
Fuse 1 = Head Unit
Fuse 7 and 9 = BCM
Fuse 10 = CIM module
Fuse 12 = Overload protection
Fuse 17 and 19 = BCM
Fuse 26 = Display
Hope that helps....
Thanks for replying mate, Its not a fuse, new TID me thinks....![]()
Did you check ALL the fuses in the end of dash panel, also have you checked that it is not the bulbs, rather than the display itself.
How did you tinker to kill a TID?
There are plenty on e-bay.. just make sure you get the right one for your car
either October 02 to September 04
or
October 04 to September 08
Also make sure it has been divorced from the previous car, or you have the donor vehicle's audio or security codes as required.
Yep, checked them all, nothing else is blown. I was replacing the bulbs, and to remove them I used some bent nose pliders, and they made contact with the board... sparks etcI could onlu see 2 on ebay, its the 02 one, the one with the 2 buttons on. Changing the bulbs as part of my LED conversion... the only part of the car I have f**ked and its plug and play

Just a point of warning...
As an 02, yours is considered to be Half CAN (Oct 02 to Sept 04),
but the Full CAN (Oct 04 onwards) also have clock buttons on them.
Although it is said in TIS, that half and full CAN screens may be interchanged if wired correctly.
2002 to 2004 TID has a 18 pin connector
2004 to 2009 TID has a 32 pin connector.
Yep - sparks = new TID required, unless you fit a GID perhaps...
Do make sure it is a Vectra-C item though.
Vectra-B and Omega-B are wired up completely differently
How much of a hastle would a GID cause? Would it work okay in my car?
Its an 02 LS, as previously stated on another thread, LS is all my insurance will allow... without it running into the 2k p/a mark
There is a how 2 from Bigmac on how to do this, complete with screen "Alpha-codes"
It is not too difficult, just depends how good you are with stripping and refitting connectors.
If you are colour changing your screen, see if Kman has one for sale... he is a whizz with the colour change stuff on screen and headunits etc...
Note dependent upon the GID used, there could be either 10 or 39 LED's to change.
TID is simpler for you, and most scrappers will have one... but do ensure that it has been divorced first. And like I say, do ensure it has an 18 pin connector socket on the rear.
Its not that im not capable of changing the SMD's, ive done the full car, but I got clumbsy when it came to the plug and play bulbsseen a couple of TIDs on fleabay for about 20 quid, probs get cheaper at a local scrappies
