    Default Help!!!! Thermostat advice

    Hi all
Need a bit of advice, followed the how to fantastic loved the pics!!

Heres the Prob, on how to it says 2.5L of antifreeze I put in just over 1 and it filled it over the limit mark on the Res btl, i replaced the Resevoir btl top and started the Car, put heater on to number 2 on dial full heat.
Car running for approx 15minutes, heater blowing out cold air and reservoir btl antifreeze has not dropped down! Temp up to 90!!!

So I stopped the Car, case i do any damage, is this normal, any advise if i am doing anything wrong, or should i just leave the car engine on and see what happens ???

    P.S its a 1.8 2003 Vec C club

All good, left engine running for 20 minutes, still-life blowing out cold air, gave it a few revs, now it,s teaming hot , ps when i returned to car the anti freeze level had dropped so i topped it up!

Will keep this in mind next time

Just for info the Top bolt on the housing easy to take off, the bottom one was a nuisance, very awkward to get to, brackets and air con pipes in the way making it nigh on impossible to reach with rachet,
However as I had a spare socket rachet I sawed it down to about 4 inches from the rachet head, pushed on rubber tubing for handle / better grip !! fitted in no problem after this, will be very handy in future for getting to bolts with restricted access.
