h1 main bulb clip

went to the dealers today as i have dropped (never to be found) the retaning spring clip that holds the h1 main bulb in.

i was told i would need to buy a new a complete new headlamp , just so i could get the bit of wire that holds the bulb in

gonna have to try the scrappys , hope they dont say the same thing

seems a bit silly to replace the whole unit,

Hopefully somebody will have one lying around in their garage or spares box.

Alternatively, these people appear to stock vectra headlight clips. Unsure whether or not this is the part you need

They probably will and expect you to buy the whole light as I guess they will struggle to sell an incomplete light. What you could do is look out for a Vectra in the breakers that has had a front end shunt and has smashed headlights, I would guess that they wouldn't then have a problem letting you have the clip from that one.
