    Default quote for dmf change

just been quoted for dmf and clutch kit change of £1150,i fount this a bit steep as i was expecting about the £800 to £900 mark, its a garage ive been using for 15 years now as i really trust them, will i get it cheaper than this or is that about the rite figure,if not i will have a shop around, surely it wouldnt cost that much if i took it to the dealers.

    thanks

My mate had his done from here: http://www.cityclutchcentre.co.uk/, who are basically the same as A1 Clutch's (owned by same person, just different town).

Call them, ask to speak to Jaz, he did my cuz's for £590 all in, inc slave replacement, DMF, clutch, etc.

This place is just outside of Brum centre.

    Good luck.

    P.S. his was a CDTI 120 / 2005.

Have you though about trying to source your now DMF and Clutch kit and asking them how much they would charge just to fit it, see if it works out cheaper that way?

I do them for £700 all in with genuine LUK parts, new flywheel bolts, new gear oil etc, A1 dont change the bolts and re use the gear oil, Im not even sure they fit genuine LUK stuff either.
