    Default Satnav location wrong

    Hi,

Just registered and hoping someone can help out. I have a 2006 Signum (only owned it for 3 months) and last night it decided to think I am in a different place to where I actually am. Is there any recommendations for a fix on this please? It is the CD70 with version 2005 CD, it has been working fine until yesterday.

    Thanks, John.

Think there was someone else with the same problem not so long ago ...
possible causes were water getting into the aerial base.
Gyro in sat nav gone t1ts up.
damp cloudy weather making the satnav taking longer logging onto satallites.

not sure if the op found the cure or not .

How far out has the satnav put you ??

I think Ken had same problem with his NCDC and it was the GPS gyro that knackered up, He replaced it and all was fine

Thanks for the posts, I did find another thread. It has me about 1/4 mile out so the nav is useless. I have done the battery down load and will get a sw upgrade from the dealer to see if that helps as I am not technical at all. Is the GPS gyro easy to replace?

    Thanks, John.

No, used the satnav for a journey on Friday. Parked the car up until Sunday, put in a new destination and it was still fine. Then got in the car to come home and all went wrong!

    Thanks, John.

I have tried it 4 or 5 times throughout the day and each time it thinks the car is in the middle of a farmers field! Checked the arial and there doesn't appear to be anything wrong with it.

    Thanks, John.

Sounds like a bad signal to Aerial....
