    hi
it should unclip from the inside,
but some have a shield around it
and then you will have to pull it out and hope

Mine's got a shield (52 vec hatchback), how do you pull it out? Do you mean pull the shield off or the light unit?

I had an awful job getting the old one out of my last veccy, had the sheild round it. Had to do my best at pulling it out but ended up breaking it into bits and getting it out like that. Stupid design really.

the newer models, you have to remove inner tailgate lining to remove it, fiddly and painful on your hands too....

Default third brake light removal without damage

look very closely at the third brake light you will see four metal silver clips at the edge pf the light, cut up a old credit card or i used the spreader out of a tin of p38 car body filler icut the spreader into four peices so that you have four bits all with a taperd edge use the spreader with the tapeder edge down the back of the light between the plastic edge and the paint work of the body work with all four in place the light will pop out good luck......
