Default Have i got MUG written on my forehead.

Why do insurance companies take the micky.
On the 18th Jan my insurance must be renewed so phoned them up for my renewal, now i know the insurance premiums have gone up but even i think that 100% is too much.

Now i'm nearly 33, only got 3 years NCD due to a period of not owning a car but have never had an accident and nothing has changed. This year on my GSi i have been paying £91 a month but they have said it will be £187 a month.
Work that over 12 months and that nearly £2500 TPFT.
Thank god though i've been back on the comparison websites and found a number of places that will insure me for approx £800-£850 fully comp.

Chances are they don't want you as a customer any more (either you in particular, or customers in your area and/or with your car etc), so they give a high quote and expect you to go elsewhere.

Just got my renewal notice in today from Direct Line, of course it had gone up. I phoned them and said I was not happy about increase as I have been a very loyal customer, wifes car and house insurance with them for the past 10? years. I was put through to the Loyalty team, and they reduced the premium to £12 less than last year.

Nice to see a wee bit of give from them to a loyal customer.
    3.2 v6 Signum and loving it 😁
