Default sri cdti estate can i soften the suspension

    Hi guys

have just bought a 2008 sri cdti estate great car, but my wife is finding the suspension very hard, (recent back surgery) is there anyway of softing the set up, would have to sell the car if i cant remedy this, as she is the main driver, does the elite have softer set up we have seen one at our local garage.

yes the elite does have softer suspension, but it is also higher due to longer springs. I guess you could retro fit elite or design springs all round, i am not sure if you would also need to change the shockers. Maybe one of our members has a set for sale, if they have lowered there standard car.

Mine is the Elite and the susspention is a bit softer. I don,t know if you can just swap the coil springs for those of an elite. But I don,t see any reason why not though. As it has been mentioned on here about putting "sri" springs on an Elite to make the ride more firm.

I would say yes it would. Best have a word with your local VX dealer, but I recon they will say it will. As they think it is a form of modification to the sdandard spec".
