Question Signum petrol fuel pump location?

As part of my current upgrade project I am upgrading my fuel pump to a bigger 255LPH (litres per hour) pump supplied by Maptun.

My guess is that is can be accessed under the offside rear passenger seat somehow, has anybody played around in there and know how easy/hard it is to get at?

at a glance I cannot see any flaps in the carpet underneath the seats to access this pump, surely somebody has had the seats out at some point and seen the access cover?

Well I'm stumped - TIS says the pump is accessible from under the seats, but the crappy line drawing they give doesn't show if it's the left or right side of the car. It says to remove the rear seat on F68 & F69 (hatch & saloon), on F68 (estate) remove the left rear seat back, and on F48 (Signum) to remove the left, right and centre seats. That made me think that perhaps it's in the middle, but on my Signum I've converted it to 5 seats and the middle one is removeable in seconds - so I've taken out the middle seat base and there's no flap in the carpet, unless it's under the bit where the seat buckles fold down into or even further back....

its got me foxed to, the haynes manual for the vectra shows it as being under the middle seat, it shows a carpet flap between the seat buckles. I have had a gander under there as best i could without loosing my fingers in the mechanism and can see nothing that gives access... I thought the rear of these was close to the estate as it shares the same chassis. Thanks for have a look though Jezzy, much appreciated.

Will see if Bangty1 can remember seeing it.... ta Mark

Here's my Signum, with the non-standard middle seat. The section circled in red is the bit that I can remove easilly. Maybe Haynes is correct and it's actually under the bit circled in yellow?

do i need to drain the tank to do this? I was just thinking of removing the seats to save labour when it goes in for the upgrade, I cannot run with the new pump yet, all the other bits (TD04HL16T turbo and 630cc injectors) need to be done at the same time and the new map applied otherwise it will overfuel badly. But if its a tank out job at least I can advise them of that to save them wasting time/labour and i can leave my seats in.

Jezzy I reckon the access panel could be there as circled in yellow, not keen in taking it all out though if dropping the tank is quicker/easier.

I haven't done this job, using either method, but to drop the tank you need to take the exhaust off first, whereas if you remove the seats the car stays useable and you can put the seats in your garage/house in the meantime.

if was easily accessible i would try and run with the new pump first to see if i can drop the car off with it ready installed. just trying to save the labour costs, car is booked in on 10th January for the upgrade work.

Seems like i may have myself a job this saturday taking out the seats, just hope i can get em back in ok, just need to leave the nearside rear seat in if anything to put the baby seat on it for ferrying my nipper the the nursery etc.
