Towbar Electrics trailer module?

Hi

I am looking to fir my 57 1.9cdti 150 sat nav with 12s electrics, done some searching and there appears to be a Vx kit available part nu 93160573 at £49.98 from the stealers.

Sounds like a great kit as just plugs in with the possibilty of tech2 req(maybe seems to be mixed results with plug n play)

My question is on the Rear fuse box does it need a "Trailer Module plugin", ive heard other people mention it and cant find out if it comes in the wiring kit? or is it an extra buy?

Thanks for the reply, can anyone who got the vx kit tell me if it came with the trailer module and if so what Part they order

The 12s kit is not with the towbar module (as its that part nr. you have listed) and thats only for the "extra" power to the trailer/caravan.

the 12n kit is for the lights on the trailer/caravan is with the module and have part nr. 93171407

But if you only miss the module it can be bought seperat.. but probaly more expencive..

Kenp thanks v much, I do want the caravan power ie both sockets by the caravan
Is there a vx part number to do this with all the bits? Or do I order the 12n kit and then have to hack the wiring to introduce the extra socket?

No the 12n and 12s is seperate wiring kits. so no need of hacking any of them

The 12s kit simply plugs in along side the 12N kit as Ken has said. The 12S kit is about £30 iirc

All becoming clear now! One final q, does the 12 s electrics plug into the rec as well in a different socket?

It's a while since i've done mine but there is a pin that gets pushed into the 12N multiplug and there are a clever fuse that goes into the rear fusebox with a wire coming from it and of course there is an earth
