Would the vxr280 airbox mod work on a diesel?

Seen the vxr280 mod done, and was wondering if it would have a good effect on my engine if done 1.9cdti?

I know there maybe be a risk of heat sink, but just thought I'd throw the question out there

It wouldnt hurt to make more airflow possible if the engine was to need it. Whether it would or not I'm not sure..

Heatsoak always puzzles me as when the car is moving then there is cool airflow coming in... And the 1.9 engine will have a lot more breathing space than the 2.8 Turbo setup...

I would say why not go for it? It might not improve performance... but its not going to hurt it either.

Oh one tip though. I would look to upgrade to a K&N if you havent done so already. I think the modification would make it more likely for moisture to enter the airbox, which wouldnt do a paper one any good. Atleast the sports ones are serviceable
