Wheel nut - what socket size?

Hi,

I've recently picked up a Torque wrench (1/2" square drive) but need to find a socket I can use on it that will fit the wheel nuts.

Does anybody know where I can pick up a 1/2" square drive socket that will fit the standard (hex headed) Vectra C wheel nut? I'm assuming it's a 17mm socket but would rather not use the wrong one (or the standard one in the box set) so I don't damage the nut or socket.

Can anybody help me please?

You're right 17mm is the right size.

Not a problem.

Also depending on the depth of you bolt hole, you may need a short extension.

I always use one, to save scratching the wheel

I have the standard alloy for the 55 plate SRi (5 sets of two spokes) - I'll aim for the longer socket with the nylon surround. Thanks very much
