Default What detailing kit would you recommend ?

After that detailing day in London with a few of the members off here I've decided I would like to start detailing my car from now on so what kit would u recommend?

The sonus kit I've heard is good but I'm not sure so what do you reckon ?

I use both sonax and meguires. So I don,t think you will go wrong with either. I give mine a good "claying" then paint clean with Sonax. then depending on how bad the swirl marks are I use meguires polish, then a coat of KP1000P sealent topped off with a coat of "say" Colinite 915 wax (very good wax for the winter).

Any of the above kits are good aiden , my preference would be with the all menzerma kit . but as with all of these kits its not the equipment so much as knowing what to do with it
Have a look on detailing world and download some of the detailing guides . it gives you all the basic does and dont,s of machine polshing , with the addition of teaching you how to recognise what actions are required at certain stages off the process

Aaron i have just been reading up on the das 6 pro da and i can not help wondering why go for the pro , the only difference between the pro and the ordinary das 6 is the motor speeds and to be honest it is not going to make that much difference , you still have 6 speeds to play with and you would normally rarely use the fastest speeds anyway .
Stay with the other recomendation,s and save your self some cash by just buying the standard das 6

I personally recommend the Menz kit, but as Boss stated, unless your going to be doing a ot of cars, its not worth the extra pennies for the pro, the regular das-6 should suffice.

I myself didnt bother getting a DA polisher for my first, i just dove straight in and bought the Dodo Spin Doctor. Used it for the first time on saturday and it brought up the paint work on an aging punto fantasticly with minimal effort. If you want the link to the write up on DW let me know and i will post it.

    Thanks
    Tony
