Cd70 color screen

hi boys i have a cd70 navi with a orange screen it works great but i relay want a color screen. anyway my friend is selling a brand new color screen how hard is it to get it to work with my cd70 unit ? or is it a better idea to sell my unit and screen and then buy a color version ? thanks

first you must make sure the CID from your mate is from a vectra c and it has to be decoded from donor car..

Then you can have it coded to your car.

he said its for a vectra c and its brand new never used

You will also need the RGB cable to connect between the CD70 and the colour screen. Without it, the maps will not be displayed on screen, only the direction arrows you currently get with the graphic display.

The cable is available seperately from Vauxhall, but when I bought one back in June, it was nearly £70 inc VAT trade!

The part number of the cable is 13185491.

They seem to be like rocking horse poop to get hold of second hand.
