Default Excessive Road Noise / Rear wheel camber

Had 2 Michilin HP Primacy 215/50 R17's fitted to the rear 3 years ago, they hardly had any wear on them after the first two years (as expected) but suddenly 1 year ago I notice the road noise level increasing in the rear of the car - thought the bearings might be going but no, they're fine. I now notice that the inside edge of both rears are wearing excessively - probably 4 mm on inside edge when the rest of the tyre has about 6mm on it.

This sounds like negative camber from reading various threads around and from the fact that it's visible to my eye that both wheels lean in at the top and out at the bottom, so my question is: Can the VX dealer fix this or is a specialist the best route forward? - If the specialist is better then does anyone know a good one in south Northamptonsihire? - I ask as it has to go to the dealer shortly and prefer to get all done in one go...anyone got any thoughts? Ta

The wear on the inside edge of the tyre is a sign the rear upper control arms are on the way out... jack up motor & rock the wheel from left to right to check for play.
it's not really a big job.. about half hours labour a side & £40 a side for the parts.

First check as dh.dti says and if all is good, could be woth a trip to WIM, they are in Chesham, not sure how far they are away from you, but people do travel miles from around the country to go there as they are an authority on Geometry , Tony Bones is the owner and what he doesn't know about Geometry ain't worth knowing and can set up your rear camber etc if needs be , here's their website www.wheels-inmotion.co.uk
