    Default Rear Wiper on Hatch

    Hello !

I've noticed that on the 2005 model year there is a flat blade wiper at the rear of the Hatch.

Does anyone know why Vx have changed?

Is it just the end of the wiper that has changed or the whole wiper arm?

Does anyone know how much it would cost to convert a 2004.5 rear wiper to a 2005 rear wiper?

    thanks

The rear wiper on the 2005 hatch models is the new Vx design. This is also on the front wipers of the new Astra.

It's a new Blade and wiper arm, and I would of thought that it would be very easy to fit onto a pre 2005 model. I'd first check with Vx though. I'm hoping that the new facelift Vectra has these blades on the front because they are very efficient apparently.

Yep, I have the Bosch Aerotwin blades on my Volvo V50 at the front but not at the back ... they are great, but expensive

    Default Parts

Done this mod myself only last week, you need a new arm 13143420 @ 10.70 and new blade 9185824 @ 6.55, hope this helps.

Just a point to note, removing the old arm was much more difficult than I originally thought. Undoing the retaining nut was easy taking about 5 seconds but it took a further 30 minutes to slide the arm from the screw. Basically you need plenty of WD40 and a smallish hammer to break the corrosive seal.

VX told me they think? the new 2005 face lifted model comes with the new blades on the front but until it's launched in October getting the part no's is very difficult.
