Onstar and satnav Q's

Hi everyone.
Picked up a 04 gsi today which has both the above fitted, problem being is i cant get either to work. The satnav disc is scratched to hell so im guessing thats the problem there it just says please wait then asks for me to insert a disc so im on the look out for a new one of those but the phone wont pick up that ive put a sim card in? ive tried what the book says but to no avail. any ideas anyone?
(can it still be used?)

Cheers mate but only need the G.B one..
also are the two linked? i:e phone wont work without satnav because of gprs or something stupid like that?

yes the radio and phone are linked.

The phone still works, but need large simcard.. Bigmac has it in his..

Try taking it to game station as they offer a polishing service on game disks to remove scratches that prevent them from playing. Worth a shot

I have a large stlye simcard but it just keeps saying "Telematic safe" then flashes to "Insert sim No onstar service"????

I'm guessing its locked for some reason, I've looked through the book and online but cant find anything.

If it says safe, its maby retrofittede and not coded to the car (but another car) or not coded at all.. pm Bigmac maby he can help you on..
