Electric Window

Agghhh

I'm pretty sure my car knows I'm trying to sell it so it wants too go wrong!

The drivers electric window won't go back up, I can hear the clicking when I press the button but nothing at all happens.... passenger window etc work from control panel so I know its not that? Is it the motor? Regulator?

Just had a very long/cold journey back from London!

Tried that but nothing! Apparently its the motor that needs replacing....

Vauxhall quoted......... £220 without fitting, I literally wanted to shove the door up the mans beeeehind! ridiculous... Pretty sure I can get a whole door for that!

Anyone got any ideas where else I can go to get it?!

Ebay seems to have lots of regulators.....

Ordered the motor.... Need some help now though!

I can get the door card off, undo all the screws and it looks like there are two rivets that need drilling out, is it a case of just taking these out, removing the motor and replacing? Is there anything else i need to do? Detatch it from the arms, you can't access the actual motor as its behind metal thats part of the door.... Has anyone done this before? eeek
