    Default Gremlins... Grrr....

    Incident One

    On Saturday, I was driving back from CCS in Leicester... came off the M62 onto the M6 northbound and the radiator low water level warning light came on !!

    Pulled into the services, checked the header tank... no leaks... not going to open it cos its way to hot, but it all looked OK.

    Got back in the car, started it up and the warning light went away and never came back ?

    Incident Two (same day)

    So got back home, got my stuff for a trip to Bristol. Got back in the car and headed south on the M5.... 40 minutes into the journey the low oil light came on !!

    Pulled into the services, checked the oil level... all was fine... (it only had an oil change 4000 miles ago)..

    Got back in the car, started it up and the warning light went away and never came back ?

    Any ideas ?????

    First one I've had on a motorway to motorway junction where the constant curve at reasonable speed managed to tilt the coolant just enough to trigger the low level indicator.

    Once triggered it stays on until you reset. It may be you are a fraction below the fill line.

    As for oil that sounds slightly more of a concern, maybe a sensor or connectivity problem?

    I had this problem in a Vectra B 2.2 SRI DTI, it was diagnosed as a dodgy sensor in the sump....was told it werent an issue so just left it as it only came on intermittently. Worth getting it checked out though, I was just lazy. Have been told here that it is quote an easy fit!

    Yeah, thats exactly the same scenario... its a long constant curve to join the other motorway... maybe that was it..

    Nope... something isnt right.....

    Just been out to get some lunch... radiator low water level warning light came on..... again....

    Then got my lunch.... went back to the car.... started it up and the radiator low water level warning light had disappeared, but now the parking sensor light was flashing... guess what.... no parking sensors... They've packed up ! - just left with a flashing 'P' logo on the dash !!

    Ferkin car is possessed...
