    Default MOT failed today

001 Offside rear Coil spring incomplete

002 Offside front Coil spring incomplete

003 Nearside rear Coil spring incomplete

004 Rear Exhaust has a mounting that it does not fully support the exhaust system (the fella mentioned something needs welding back together)

Its a Vec Sri (55 plate facelift model). Garage said £260 for the above work...sound about right? 1st time ive had a MOT done and im hopeless with cars so thought its best to check before I get the repairs done. Thanks.

Springs incomplete..as in snapped im guessing...

Could be better for you mate to look at after market springs ... heres your chance to lower it if you want... or just have some better quality springs.

The Vx ones will only go again

I have two rear springs and 1 front spring if you want them.
They are of a 56 plate sri facelift they should fit but you would have to arrange collection thay have done 32000 miles.

Hi, for safety reasons I would never use vx springs again. Had my front spring snap and front passenger side colapse. If this had happened at speed could of been game over. Go Ebachs, not to low or hard just better. Got mine for 180 notes ish. Peace of mind and safety bud!

agreed, you should just lower it now, its the best time and its pointless replacing the vx ones.

Id definitely steer clear of vx springs. Here's my LS on PI 45/40 springs.
