Prefacelift AHL to AFL
Hello, I'm starting to retrofit my vectra c 2004.
It has factory xenon equipment and I want to upgrade to adaptive forward lightning .
My CIM has ESP and it already knows AHL/AFL equipment, my UEC also knows about it .
I've noticed that the AFL's are powered directly from UEC and the AHL's are powered from the AHL control unit .
Now I'm waiting to find and buy the afl's headlamps :-)
After I'll get the afls I'll make a how to .

The first problem I have is that my UEC doesn't have a slot for fuse FE 20 5Ah ignotion voltage in order to power the afl control module according to TIS . Will be using F19 along with the right headlamp power fuse .20170102_053306.jpg

Put up a post in the "Wanted" section mate. I know you will only see your post unless you are a paid member... but AFAIK your post will still be visible.
Also check whether UK RHD AFL's will be suitable for a LHD Car

Thanks. I have a little problem with the left side stepper motor, and at the moment the cornering lights does not work . But, I'll fix it this week .
Beside the picture from the first post, pins 8 and 9 from both ahl headlights needs to be cut out and point them to the ground. I haven't noticed that until today when I made the retrofit :-)

Well good luck for later this week mate
I was fortunate to have the combined skill and knowledge and willing help from @plasma @jon1.9cdti @paulhb and @happypostie to help get my conversion done
Mine also required an uprated CIM (last minute) though, BUT the CIM replacement also solved a long standing faulty Cruise Control when it was fitted

Yeah, if I haven't got TIS and a little knowledge of electrical stuff I wouldn't got it done .
My car had AHL factory fitted, CIM with esp and I didn't had to change it. I didn't change the uec either .
I made a 40 km trip ( aprox 25miles) this evening and I had to say that these headlights with bixenon are amazing :-)

I currently have halogen headlights and have successfully added the two missing earth connections to the connector, allowing me to run the AFL lights. However, I need help with connecting the AFL control unit located on the side of the headlamp to enable the lights to move with the steering.
I have the xenon UEC and now just need assistance in getting the lights to move right and left with the steering, my CIM have the angle sensor and it's working.
