i changed the motor with a working one, came out of a car i was breaking and checked it first. very puzzled
anyone have anymore ideas? so far i have changed the motor for one that i know was working, checked the 2 fuses under the bonnet. at a loss
bump
Fuse in the fusebox on the glovebox side, end of the dash? Can't remember the number at the moment.
Have you tried a multimeter in the plug to see if there's any voltage coming from it?
Fuses dont control the different speeds,i know youve
Tried another motorbut it be worth trying another one
Failing that then possibly the cim that the stalk pushes
into cud not be makin contact but id still put it down
To the motor as mine done the same.
Or possibly a rodent has got to ya wiring and chewed
It sumwere further along the harness as i repaired
A members harness after a rodent had a feast.
Any new resolution on this? I have a very identical problem. Thx.

Problem solved!
As 2 guys(one from a romanian dedicated FB group and one from romanian dedicated Opel forum) suggested me, almost the same time, problem was related to fuse FE22, 30A, from UEC. Double-checked and, surprise-surprise, it was missing, literally!
Long story short, it is my own fault, nobody else to blame, but this is another story...
