Vectra c design drivers seat base half leather cover.

We have 3 facelift vectra c design models all 3 have failing seat base covers on the leather ( or is it fake leather) on the portion next to the drivers door ,a common thing i know ,the price of a complete new base is £350+ so cobblers to that. So although the complete seat base is a different part number for the front passenger side i was wondering if the actual cover is the same or very near as the passenger sides do not get the same wear /use . Wondering if anyone has done it or knows, i have searched but can't find any answers.

I've had a look this morning and the cover is slightly different but i'm still wondering if it can be made to fit. If there had been a decent car upholsterers, like on wheeler dealers near to us it might have been better just to let them sort it out.

So 6 years later we still have the same problem only getting worse, so my question this time has anyone bought and used succesfully any of the viynl repair kits that are available to at least stablise the cracked viynl seat covering on the design models.

I did a repair on mine, the stuff works if you do it right... treat it like how you'd repair bodywork and it will look almost the same. But the black isn't black it's a few tints lighter more greyish so i ended up changing my complete leathers to full leather black. I bought the stuff of eBay but could have bought it cheaper on aliexpress. if you buy a white and a black one you can mix the 2 creams together to match the grey of the vinyl. And yes the leather in the vectra's isn't leather it's vinyl... the more expensive leather recaro's are real leather seats and that vinyl stuff works on leather also.

I've now got hold of another worn seat cover and some of the same viynl from scrapped design. I'm going to get the seat cover repaired it will then be probably the only design with a undamaged drivers seat LOL
