Is my 2006 Vectra any good for anyone?
I've not been on here for ages, and there are new rules etc, especially with the sale of stuff. So before I go to further efforts with putting in the sales section, I'm just asking for a bit of feedback and/or advice.
My Vectra failed it's MOT last November. Can't remember it all exactly (I do have the details when needed). The stickler for getting it repaired was some welding work that needed doing and it was just going to be too much for me at the time, so I sadly called it quits.
Anyway, still got her and need to know if she is of any use to anyone. Vectra C, diesel, sri, with tuner added (again I'd have to look at details for that). My man at the garage said engine I sound, bodywork is the problem.
So....is she just a pile of crap that I somehow have to get rid of, or of use to anyone? Thanks in advance for any advice.

Sorry to hear about your car.
The good news is that it’ll be worth something and not nothing…..
If it’s still in one piece (no significant parts missing) you’ll get at least the scrap value. Probably £150 or thereabouts with the car collected from you. No hassle. It’s gone.
Welding is usually the beginning of the end for most cars but if it’s not too expensive and the rest of the car is good enough then why not consider getting it though an MOT. Pretty much ANY car that has an MOT will be £1000 upwards so even if you want to move on you might be a little bit better off financially. Depends how much the welding will be and anything else it needs.
Alternatively get some pictures up on gumtree or whatever and you might get lucky with someone willing to pay £250 upwards with a view to them fixing it up and taking it as it sits.
You’ll need full member status to sell it on here. Might be worth it if your car has modifications or factory options that make your car more unique / rare.
Whatever you do, don’t just give it away for nothing.
