Default Insignia Estate 2012 - noise at rear when driving (sound like a plane over head)

Hi there, I have an Insignia 2012 estate with 160,000 miles on the clock. In the last few weeks there is a droning sound coming from the back of the car when I drive, sounds like road noise but has only recently appeared. If I turn the steering, while driving to the right or left there is a grinding noise also coming from the back. Does anyone have a clue what it could be. Tyres are inflated correctly and all the windows are fully closed. Does anyone have any ideas please, thanks in advance. Simon Bradish

Bearings? Brake caliper? warped brake discs?

I was surprised to find it was the RH rear wheel bearing that was really badly worn, so much noise and really sounded like it was from both sides.

Next time I won't leave it so long,

Thanks for the tips and advice!
