Signum 3.2V petrol available for parts.

Hi everyone, with 155k on the clock and a failed MOT, it's sadly time to say goodbye to our Signum... the default is to get one of those scrap companies to come and take it away, which would net us a few hundred quid, but I thought it might be worth mentioning it on here in case anyone is interested in it for parts / tinkering etc. It still runs well, but the work we need to do to get it through its MOT is not justified IMO, and at some point it will fail. If this is not a suitable topic for this forum, my apologies. Any ideas welcome. I'm in Cambridge. Cheers, Ian

The engine needs to be removed and reinstalled once it's been replaced by a Z20NET. Also the gearbox needs to be removed and refitted once it's been replaced by an F40. The 3.2 V6 is a good engine, once it's been replaced by a Saab 4 pot...

It has some kind of navigation thing, but we never use it, just use our mobile phones. Cheers, Ian

Hi Jon, MOT fail on rear wheel arches need welding to secure the rear seat belt anchors and drive shaft constant velocity boot needs replacing. Then a load of advisory stuff mainly on corrosion, though nothing that compromises structural integrity. Slight oil leaks (camshaft covers and transmission suspected). Rear offside door is rusting from the bottom up and the air con is flaky, works sometimes then not... I'll have it for another week or so then it'll be scrapped.
