Z20net signum - dragon edition
received_135399599497558.jpg
Europian Opel Z20net 2003 pre-fl Signum.
Bought on 2023 april 5th. Paid 900 euros, came with a random cylinder missfire, bad o2 sensor 1, bad thermostat. It had a non functional 1din, previouse owner kindly gifted a non-working ncdc2015. Suspension is great, interior is descent. Not much going on tho.
First things I've done :
Changed spark plugs, changed o2 sensor, changed thermostat and all the filters and oil.. Missfire has not been resolved.
Transplanted recaro front seats, memory and electric controls do not work, so had to wire up a few cables for electronic control. Memory function has not been yet added, heating works !
Exterior - picked up an irmscher splitter (in z20r), changed out irmscher side skirsts I had from previouse car (also z20r) and changed outside mirrors as original were not the best (also z20r).
-Hunting the missfire error :
Changed all 4 coils, checked wires, ionization module, all seems great, but missfire still has not gone away. Important to note - over boost (sometimes to 1bar) and goes to limp mode (0.3/0.4 bar). Changed turbo solenoid just for good measure - no change. In search of whats next I changed all the vaccum lines. Also found out that barometic sensor is showing nonsense data so ordered that too therefore waiting for it to show up.
To do next :
Barometric sensor.
Rear leather seats with fridge and door cards with curtains + fridge loom.
What to expect in the long run:
Conversion to facelift as I have xp2 front bumper with irmy grill and I love it.
Wide body of some sorts.
Air ride
A few custom home made exterior details (fiber glass)
Turbo upgrade with exhaust and so on (must be quicker than my last z19dth)

Its half can unfortunately and unlike my previouse signum, this one has very few additional wires. (My previouse one had all the looms for full electric, heated and memory seats, power fold mirrors, fridge, and so on, so I only had to pop in some modules and buttons, program it qnd it worked, this one will need all those looms, good thing old signum is still sitting by the garage looking all sad at me)
