It's still available to buy if anyone is interested as I sold it too a traderhttp://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/293175353641
The reason the VXR was let go...it had to happen sometime sooner rather than later as we no longer have a Vauxhall as a daily driver having gone all VAG. Our Touareg V10 Altitude was replaced in early June with a Dec 2017 mk2 VW Amarok Highline V6 and the Vectra VXR Estate was downsized in late July with a Dec 2016 mk3 facelift Audi S3 Sportback. Having thought long and hard on what to replace the VXR with our list started long but was quickly shrunk down to a short list of none Vauxhall as there was unfortunately nothing the Griffin made that floated our boat. The S3 ticks all our boxes plus more and with stock performance figures such as 306bhp/295lbft and 0-62 of 4.6s you can see why we were drawn in. After a look round a few S3 we decided to up the budget and before we knew it we'd bought one and we're both over the moon with it. An RS3 was considered but a bit too hard core and brash for a comfy daily hack, others will disagree but it just wasn’t for us. I'm sorry but there's no going back to Vauxhall for our dailys I'm afraid to sayHowever, we've still got a Vectra ST200, Astra mk3 V6 & Astra GTE 16v in the collection for true 90s retro style

I'd like to see pics here of your astra GTE
My road legal track tool running a tweaked C20EX on Jenvey throttle bodies, Quaife SCCR box, Gripper LSD, Corsa C EPAS, Rose Joint front arms, GAZ Gold coilovers all round plus a few other choice trick bits here & there......BOOMI've owned the car since 2004 when it was completely standard & I've done virtually everything myself as I love tinkering.
These were taken as Blyton Park on 23rd June 2019.

I see MWP have still got my wifes old Vectra VXR Estate for sale click me. She's a good'un if anyone is in the market for a tidy and rare motor. Good to see they have left the Courtenay Stage 1 map installed as it really did need that as the OE map just strangles the engine performance. Check out this diary as it's been lovingly cared for in out ownership until the VXR parted company with us back us July...and no I don't work for MWP, yes I'm plugging the sale of the car as it deserves a new permanent home for Christmas![]()
I'm not going to slam the car in anyway but not at that price... I do know it's been taken care of extremely well but at that price? no to the hell no! seriously for that money you can drive in a younger equally as powerful(or even more powerful) car from several other brands, that keep their worth a lot better than any Vauxhall ever will ... and that is why it hasn't sold yet.
Well well well, I never thought i'd see VE07WLZ again in so much detail!
I sold it prior to the OP buying it from the dealer. I do miss it, but it had to go!![]()
It was a lovely vehicle to tinker with when I owned it, ran super when I'd given it the once over after purchasing it. I always keep my motors in the best condition I can so I do hope whoever owns it now is taking care of it & putting in as much passion as I did.
@veccy28 did you own it prior to myself?
