I went the Asda tyres route for mine (235s) I think the brand was Rotella, well rated for noise, grip etc. I think they were £149 a pair inclusive... since then found a local tyre stockist that does a similar tyre for £65 inclusive. I had expectedto get a good fleecing for 19" tyres but they seemed cheaper than more ordinary sizes.

Dont put part worn tyres on as they usually have something wrong with them,im a tyre fitter by trade and see problems all the time ,what I always say to customers is would you take a good tyre off your car? They either have punctures or come from scrap/damaged cars ,If you dont do much mileage or go fast in your car then any budget will work fine but if you do then go for something decent as there better grip and last longer also if you get two new tyres put them on the front and get the and your old tyres on the rear as front tyres wear quicker than the rear

I used to run 245/35/19 on my Vec, no issues
now run 245 and 255 Michelin Pilot Sport 4s on the Monaro and although a little pricey, they are amazing tyres.
