i did the clasic stupid thing on friday night - filled my derv up with petrol !. i didn't realise & i drove 1/2 a mile home, i later jumped in to go to the shops & as i pulled off the drive it started to misfire big stile, still not realising i'd put petrol in i called the AA which they remided me that i wasn't covered for home start, i started racking my brain, crank or cam shaft sensor fault e.t.c. then i had a flash back about filling it up, sure enough checked my receipt 36 litres of petrol -gutted. phoned AA back & explained, but they couldn't send anyone till monday, called RAC who i'm not a member of & they sent a company round within the hr, they did a excellent job, sucked all the fuel from the tank via the fuel pipes from the fuel filter, then sucked all the fuel back out of the pump from the fuel lines, put 10 litres of fuel in & after a bit of coughing & spluttering the car was fine again.

just what i needed before xmas £188 quid, still cheaper than a new engine i suppose.

i think i was very lucky though.
