I know know, I've heard all the horror stories about this company and I went and bought a warranty anyway.

I've had a heater matrix (£200) and wheel bearing (£200) replaced already this year and the warranty was £230 and covered most of the more exp items. so I thought I'd give it a go.

Lo and behold engine management light came on yesterday, then car went on to safe mode and engine was vibrating heavily . left the car where it was and went back after a couple of hours. started fine, no lights. but this morning the lights are on again.

So on the phone to warranty direct who sent me to a Nationwide Autocentre. Spoke to the chap at nationwide who was actually quite helpful and after dropping the car off he assured me he would do whatever he could to get the company to cough up the repair costs. got a call at around 4pm saying their Diagnostics wasn't reading the car systems so they would need to get a specialist in, in the morning. but initial thoughts are on dodgy coil pack. Mr nationwide charged me £57 for Diagnostics which he said warranty comp would refund if they foot the bill for repair (kind of sceptical)

but he'll confirm fault in the morning and get authorisation for the repairs

So fingers crossed and see how it goes.

btw, what are coil packs (excuse my ignorance)
