    Default Signum: Big Spare Wheel?

Does anyone know what the widest tyre is that will fit in the Signum spare wheel well without it lifting the boot floor/carpet, instead of having the skinny space saver jobby?

None of them on the ones I have tried so far! I have tried the following in mine :-

235 35 19 Snowflake - Fits in the wheel well but too high.
225 45 19 11 Spoke - Same problem but also doesn't sit flat on the boot floor
225 45 17" GSi rim - Sits too high again

The only one I havent tried is the 16" steel.

You're trying the wideys lol. Maybe a 215/55/16 might fit. Might see if I can borrow one from someone to try it.

To be honest it's probably more the width of the rim than the tyre itself...

How come - the tyre curves out from the rim, both sides.

Yes, and the width of the tyre when you're talking about its's size (235/225 etc) is smaller than the full diameter of the tyre when inflated: as you say it bulges out slightly. 10mm in the width of the tyre tread really isn't going to make much difference in the scheme of things when the wheel is too big for it to sart with..
