    Default Very Strange...Spanner Light

    Just Changed the oil and fuel filter and nothing else has been done,filled up with fresh oil went to start the engine and on comes the spanner light,even i can't fathom this one...anyone got any ideas???

    Did you accidently knock a sensor plug off or something?

    Don't think so m8'just checked round engine bay and can't see anything obvious.

    Sorry, out of ideas then have you tried the pedal trick to read the fault codes? Its on here somewhere if you search although I haven't tried it myself.

    did you have ign on when you changed fuel filter ? is the water sensor on bottom of fuel filter connected or heater element on top plugged in forgot to ask is it diesel or petrol?

    Also, is the spanner on when the engine is running or did it go out.

    I think that if you turned the ign on when it was out of oil then is it possible that the low level would cause a fault light?

    No the spanner is on continously when engines running,just had a look at the pedal method to check any codes but unfortunatly don't work on my car/

    ?Is there a chance that if i disconnect the battery ,it might go out.
