Default What can i possibly do next (150cdti)

    Hi all,
Having read a lot of posts regarding misfire on the vectra cdti's i still cannot cure this problem of mine .
It all started approx 6 months ago, when pulling away from junctions, roundabouts etc, i get the occasional split second cough (would'nt say misfire) sometimes it does it every couple of miles then sometimes it will run a week without doing it!! It is fine if you boot it all the time!!
Heres what has been done recently:
    New EGR Valve
    New manifold & swirl actuator,
    New Fuel Filter,
    New Air Filter,
    But still to no avail,
Can the No.3 injector wire cause just a split second cough like this,
No codes are present using the snap on solus pro & sykes pickavant acr4 G2 suite,
My last resort is to send it to the dealers to see if they can find it using tech2 but i hate the idea of paying £60-£70 for them to say it could be this, could be that etc, (you know what i mean)
Can the accelerator pedal sensor cause this as it always seems to be when the pedal is in a certain position!
Seriously thinking of getting rid, but it's such a nice car except for this little hiccup now & again,
There is a slight rattle from the Dual Mass flywheel (could this cause it??)
    Any help greatly appreciated!
It is a 55 plate vectra cdti elite 150
    Thanks.
    Dave.

If you haven't done the 3rd injection mod then do it. Its very cheap and well worth while as it could be the cause of your troubles.

Thanks for the reply Big Sig, will try it & keep you posted although i would have thought that moving the injector wire with the engine running would make it misfire but it does'nt,
    Cheers,
    Dave.

Its the contacts that fail not the wire normally as it gets stretched. The mod is only about £20 so well worth it imo. Although cleaning the connections can be a quick and usually temp soloution.

Check the engine software version...? Think there was an upgrade for a problem similar to this. Contact your Vx dealer and get them to check...

Mines used to not so much cough but hesitate and judder at 2000rpm, and it turn out to be the Intercooler had split.

It might not be the intercooler but a split hose?

Thats how it started and was like that for a year, then after I cleaned the egr valve it progressively worse within a week.
