Bulb gone on the dimmer thingy

Hi

One of my Leds has gone were you turn the dial to brighten the dash or to lower the brightness how do i replace the led i have tried pulling the little unit out but cant

Is this the headlight switch unit? If so, then you have to press the knob inwards, then turn to the sidelights position. If you've got autolights, then you need to turn it to the autolights on position, then press the knob in and turn to the '0' position to release the locking clips.

or something like that.

yeah thats the one.
when i press it inwards the dial switches to the sidelights and then i cant pull the box out?

Lighting Switch removal

With the light switch knob in the off position,press the knob in and turn it to the vertical position (side lights "on")
The switch internal catch is now unlocked and can be removed (just pull it out by the switch knob)
Once removed turn lights off and disconnect the switch wiring

It'll still be a hell of a job to replace one of the SMDs inside the switch unit - how much is a whole new switch?

About £30 on ebay will have to be the one with front fogs me thinks,haven't seen many of them tho

I just give it a go then and it wont pull out but when i push in and twist it to sidelights the who unit pushes in a bit and i cant pull it back out untill i turn it back any ideas?

I have finnaly got out the light control pannel and looks like its alot of work to try and change a bulb in the thing.
How much do these go for might try and pick up a new one if there not stupid money?
