Help please - urgent advice needed

Driving up M1 tonight, felt like a massive impact driver's side but on close inspection the vehicle is much lower than normal on that side (having now been recovered home)

What is it likely to be? Spring or what? Any suggestions as to repair costs?

Probably the spring broken and jumped out of the seating. Great time to fit some eibach's

Definatly sounds like a spring or even the shock, perfect time for some eibach and bilsteins! :>

Yes sounds like a broken spring to me too. See if you can see any broken spring in the seating cup. ( though it is probably on the M1 having fallen off).

Thanks folks - are new springs easy to fit. never done owt like this in my life.

And I gather the pro-kit drops by 30mm? Any implications as mine is an estate? Would the drop affect the use of snow chains?

Changing the springs can be a dangerous job, if you do not have the correct tools. Ask around if someone has the proper tools before you try to do by your self....
