can a universal cone air filter cause my 1.8 vectra c to pink

yeah I sure can also I have found not sticking to the same fuel can also any changes that make the burn better or worse quicker than 100 miles will cause settings on ecu to be wrong for the distance it takes it to work out whats wrong as long as it thinks that some thing is wrong which in most cases the ecu just obliviously carrys on but the advice on here after regularly swapping fuel ron dependet on how much cash I had I pocket at fuel station is I found is not really the best thing to do so have filled up with 95 and am going to stick to it for a while at the same time once I had some of the fuel through to motor I then reset ecu by diconecting live batt term and leaving 20 mins to be sure and reconecting runing car on drive for 3 mins then went for a blast usual drive style and plenty of low revs take offs gear changes ect and cant get it to pink for love nor money windows open to just in case i missed it but all sorted just got to remember not to mix fuels or reset after any mods or changes cos its so easy to do and its a perky little drive now yay oh its only 1.8 vvt veci could not afford any higher still gives me something to look forward to cheers guys

pinking was back same day as going from 1st to second gear and car did weird thing again dropping out gear early causing sharp judder to be sent through engine and pinking was back so went home reset ecu which now im listening makes no difference done over 10 miles and can cause engine to pink at will at around 1500-2000 revs in 2nd and third or gentle pressure on accelerator in 4th around 2000 revs like it should be struggling up a hill but we are no where near one and drives kind off sluggish GOD I REALLY MISS MY W REG V6 VECTRA THIS 07 IS NOT A SPOT ON THAT VAUX YOU HAVE SPOILLED A GREAT CAR

came back and know what it is the vac syst not responding every thing else working as it should no lights on , emmisons fine only thing left is the vac missing from engine solinoids all doing there job letting it through but no vac in pipes
